2015 draft??

Fellow draft freaks... I have a question. When it comes to ILB's, which one of these two do you prefer and why: Eric Kendricks or Paul Dawson?? I don't need any info on the others and yes I've read the scouting reports but I want y'all's take on which one you'd prefer if we had to choose between the two.

i still think he is getting kinda of a bum wrap. It will be interesting to see if he does turn into this year highly rated ILB that drops like a rock. been more than a few over the past few years.

Bernardrick McKinney and Anthony Stevens paired up together might just be the 34 ILB mix of the draft.

I won't be so harsh as to say "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" as we've heard about him, but where's the production? I remember watching Mississippi State games last season specifically for McKinney and not seeing him do anything. With his size and speed he should have separated himself from the pack.

IMO two birds of a different color all together.

Eric Kendricks - play maker with instincts off the chart. Issue is with size in a 34. I fear you will not get a full 16 games out him. 43 were he is kept clean to do his thing he is perfect. I feel the same about all the good smaller ILB in draft.

Paul Dawson - he is a play maker also but his stats came against a ton of spread offenses. Against pro sets he did not preform so well. probably the best tackler in the draft. But that limited production against a pro set worries me

of the two Kendricks would get my vote.

this is a good 43 MLB draft IMO

As for a 34 i think gamble and go long term upside. I am all for the kid out of Clemson. Stephone Anthony is built to take the beating a 34 ILB must handle. Heck of a pick in the second round and has shown enough skill set to become a 3 down starter. the possibility is there without a doubt.

Denzel Perryman Miami, after watching 3 games of his this last season, I really think he looks like he has the speed of a young Ray Lewis and the hitting ability of Vaughn Johnson

I would prefer Dawson and here is why ...

Watched him live in 3 home games and he was always around the ball. Very good instincts, makes plays, good in coverage and he consistently stood out. Coach Paterson has been quoted as saying that Dawson is a film room/study guy. Sure there are other LB's in the draft who may be faster, but all I saw was a guy who stood out when the lights come on.

Nothing against EK but Paul has impressed me well before all of this combine and draft talk.
