Interesting that they signed a WR instead of promoting Coleman or Jones from the practice squad. Must be for the punt returns. Former teammate of Kenny Stills so maybe he gave him a vote of confidence.

5/6/14: Saunders snagged 61 receptions for 729 yards and eight touchdowns in 2013. He had a good performance at the Combine. A number of teams brought in Saunders on pre-draft visits. He could end as a late-rounder or a priority undrafed free agent.

8/3/13: Saunders is an undersized, but speedy, receiver. He has been an underrated performer for the Sooners the past two seasons. The junior caught 62 passes for 829 yards and three touchdowns in 2012. Saunders was even more explosive as a sophomore when he caught 50 balls for 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns. Saunders needs to add weight for the NFL, but he has the speed to be a weapon as a slot receiver.

He ran a 4.37 at the combine, so he has straight line speed. But when a 4th round pick in THIS draft is released by the Jets, who don't have any huge WR threats, then picked up in Seattle who also isn't known for their WR threats, that kind of says something about Saunders. But here's hoping for the best! #WhoDat

say what to defensive gurus. well at least one Rex, talking offense? if they both put their seal of approval on this move i would take it as a sign "not" to make this move and look for another player. Rex has shown he stinks with offense.

rex gets fired the saints should go after him and fire Rob. Rex is the one that got his father's brains, Rob must take after his mother i bet:rolleyes:

Picking up a receiver that the Jets and Seahawks didn't use tells me that we'll probably only hear this guy's name one more time. When the Saints release him.

The Browns cut Lance Moore,250 times a team had a shot at picking up Marques Colston,nobody drafted Wes Welker etc

The are rare but there is always a chance that he fits

I disagree. Wrong position and totally different body. In his prime Sproles was a stud every down tailback. Scouting report says Sproles has 40lbs on him too.

Toon has been a healthy scratch several times, so apparently WR depth really isn't the issue

I heard of this guy when playing fan duel last year. He was often suggested as a start on the cheap. And he comes from Oklahoma also. Stills has been okay but I think Saunders may have been the higher receiver there? He could be better who knows. I like his name. It sounds like a lot of past saints receivers names.

He certainly looks good from his YouTube footage

Punt returner and WR at OSU, has very good speed, his route running is probably the best part of his game, he sells the double move really well.

I saw his highlights and he is dangerous in the open field and is a return ace. Then again Marcus Ball had promising highlights too.
