He got locked into an apartment lease that he couldn't get out of for a year. So when Warren made the typical free agent bounce--in his case, from New Orleans to Minnesota, he continued paying for his vacant apartment back in Metairie.

With his recent bump up to the Saints active roster, the apartment might get put to good use.

It's normal for practice squad players to move around a lot. It's rare for them to end up back on the same team that cut them later that year.
