The reports of the Saints' death have been highly exaggerated. Drew Brees earned a QB rating of 140 with 5 touchdowns and no turnovers to lead the New Orleans Saints in a dominating win over a very sloppy Pittsburgh Steelers team. The Saints didn’t throw to Jimmy Graham who was double teamed all game. That opened up the gate for Ben Watson, Marques Colston, Erik Loring and Nick Toon to each haul in Touchdowns for the Saints.

Although Ben Roethlisberger passed for 435 yards and two touchdowns, he also threw two interceptions for the Steelers against a bend but don’t break defense that played an imperfect but much improved game. Roethlisberger finished with a QB rating of 76.

The final score was much closer than expected due to some questionable penalties and "garbage" yards and points. At 35-16 with 6 minutes left, the game was way out of hand. The Steelers closed to 35-24 at 2:37 left after a questionable illegal use of the hands call against Keenen Lewis on a pass which brought the Steelers to the Saints 8 yard line and eventual score. Steelers final score came with :04 seconds left and the onsides attempt failed - end of game.
