Sean Payton cranks up intensity, morphs into 'Game day Sean' when stalking sideline
Being yelled at by Payton on game day is not an exclusive club, and yet players trade tales like war stories.
"If you've been here long enough, it's happened to all of us," said right tackle Zach Strief, who's been on the team since 2006, Payton's first season. Strief recalled Payton stomping up to him after he gave up a particularly bad hit against an opponent one year. "He came to the sideline and asked me, 'Is this too big for you? As in, is playing in the NFL (too big for you)?" Strief said. It sounds like a question that would be posed to a rookie. But it occurred during Strief's sixth season. That's a good read. Made me laugh my ass off. Especially Keenan Lewis saying he runs away from him when he gets pissed off.

The way this year has unfolded has to be killing Coach Payton. But, to his credit, he has the team positioned to take advantage of the weak division. Seems all players love him. We have it good and tend to forget that when we lose games we are used to winning.

Said it before and Ill say it again.
Payton is a great head-coach, but he should utilize Carmicheal to call plays. |

I love coaches who are willing to get in your face and not worry about hurting someone's feelings.
Edit: Did you notice he started with chewing out McMahon?:clown: |
