In dire need of motivation....
Anyone have any? For the first time in a very long time, I'm having problems getting excited about seeing my boys play tonight. It's a MNF game. National stage. And I'm just... meh.
WHO DAT Faithful, help a brother out? |
Re: In dire need of motivation....
If we don't win the South, then Atlanta or Carolina will.
Thats all the motivation I need. |
Re: In dire need of motivation....
Remember how badly we performed in Chicago in the past? We have a 5-8 record..........what else do you need for motivation?
|
Re: In dire need of motivation....
Also, I'm kinda excited to see how this team responds to the roster changes and Payton's meetings.
Besides, I hate the Bears, so there's that too. |
Re: In dire need of motivation....
I wish Zach Strief could let me know what the vibe is in the locker room tonight... Til then I'm cautiously optimistic.

But I feel your hesitency to get "up" for the game Leilung not knowing what team will show. But that is out of your control, all you can control is what kind of Saint fan shows up for the game. |

Re: In dire need of motivation....
Has anyone noticed that we seem to be playing up and down to the level of the competition. Against the Packers and Steelers (who were both hot when we faced them) we looked like the Saints. Against the balance of our schedule we have played like the Aints, losing most of the games and squeezing in an occasional win when there should have been a blow-out.
Based upon this, tonight could very well be fugly. |

All the responses, and no one has really answered Leilung's question.
I'm on the same boat... |

Re: In dire need of motivation....
I'll be watching, not excitedly but watching and I'll be here in the live chat until either we win or it goes south. If it goes bad, I turn it off and go to Second Life, if it goes well, I'm here cheering.

Re: In dire need of motivation....
Seriously?
We're battling for 1st place in the NFCS, in a wide open conference, with no consistently dominant team in either conference, on Monday Freaking Night football, with playoffs just 4 weeks away, with the opportunity for New Orleans to host a playoff game, and the opportunity to deny Atlanta and Carolina a playoff spot. And someone actually needs "motivation" to watch? May the football gods have mercy on your pathetic loser of a soul. You are dead to me. |
Re: In dire need of motivation....
I am motivated as we can still win the Div and get in the playoffs. I have been on/off the fence between this and a better draft but when you have a chance you have to go with winning. I was silly to think otherwise. However, this team has me gun shy to the point that I can't even guess at what team shows up tonight.

Re: In dire need of motivation....
Brees will have one of his best games this season. 30 of 40 400 yards and 2 TD's. We will look like a team again tonight. I'm sure coach has made some significant changes that we don't even know about yet. Look for the Saints to pass the ball 3 out of 4 times within the 10 yard line. We've learned we can't shove it down anyone's throat.
