Julio Jones and Smith

Rotoworld: LOL telling it like it is:

Speaking Monday, Falcons coach Mike Smith said he expected Julio Jones (hip) to return for Week 16.
Per Smith, Jones has "improved last week to this week." It's great news, but should be taken with a major grain of salt. Smith is consistently wrong with his public-injury proclamations Jones didn't appear particularly close to suiting up against the Steelers, but he was always going to be up against it on a short week. For now, owners can pencil Jones in for the fantasy finals, but his availability should be considered far from a given. Jones' status will be updated no later than Wednesday.

We are the Falcons season so he plays.

We win - Falcons are eliminated

Without a doubt. Otherwise the injury is way worse than we are being told.

I don't know... the guy is glass

if he wasn't licking his chops to get at a weak Pitt secondary last week, he just might be done for the year

their OC did not sound very optimistic on Tuesday

And we are quite possibly Mike Smith's job.

That sounds doubtful to me.

Re: Julio Jones and Smith

The Falcons’ injury report is a lot more dramatic since receivers Julio Jones, Roddy White and Harry Douglas and safety William Moore all missed Wednesday’s practice. The Saints will definitely prepare for the possibility of Jones playing after he sat out last week with a hip injury, since he’s one of the NFL’s most dangerous playmakers.

“Yeah, he’s definitely gonna play,” Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis said. “Why not? There’s just as much at stake for them as there is for us.”

Not great for us either, although ours is 'estimated' :

Armstead, Hicks, Sanford on Saints’ estimated injury report - New Orleans Saints Blog - ESPN

and yes, no Roddy. He left the Pgh game briefly

I think in 2009 Demarcus Ware taught the Saints a valuable lesson about assuming someone wouldn't play.

According to rotoworld

Roddy White back to practice, Julio not spotted there. Douglas back at practice, didn't see anything on Moore

Hicks, Armstead, and Sanford DNP -- more than a little worrisome, but at least we haven't made a roster move yet.

Roddy limited, JJ and their RG out again

I hope Armstead plays. We need him for fast start on offense. 1 mistake from o-line players can kill drives.

No Julio (hip) again at start of practice. No Asamoah (back) either. Willy Mo, Roddy, Harry practicing.

Julio no practice today. It's no guarantee, but generally if you don't practice on Friday you aren't playing on Sunday. Even if he plays I suspect he won't be able to do much on one leg. Things just got a lot better for us.

Harry Douglas tends to kill us, but usually as the #3 WR. He's not nearly as much a threat as a #2 when you can man up an outside corner on him.

That had nothing to do with assuming he wouldn't play. Bushrod was just a crappy pass blocker.

Hell yea let him play. Ill take a bad hip hollieo over a well rested hester or douglass. Its douglass that bails mattie melt out all the time.against us anyway.

Falcons may use him like we did JG a couple of weeks ago as a decoy. IF he draws a double team it will make life easier for Douglas and Hester...

If we Can get up about 3-4 TDs early and the crowd gets into it we might have a chance.
