Punter Thomas Morstead named New Orleans Saints Man of Year
 

Congratulations!!

Punter Thomas Morstead has been named the New Orleans Saints Man of the Year, the team announced on Tuesday.

Morstead will be considered along with the nominees from the other 31 teams for the league-wide Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Finalists will be announced in January with the winner unveiled during the NFL Honors awards show on Jan. 31.

I follow Morstead on Facebook. He seems like a really great and admirable person. Always very positive. He has a little boy and you can see how proud his is.

Morestead is one of my favorite players. Not because he played rugby......but because he's a heck of a player and a man.

I loved it when he shaved his head for childhood cancer, for the St. Baldrick's event at Fin McCool's last year...I have a lot of friends who are actually involved in that event, and it was so great to see him get involved with helping out, raising money in a fun way for a good cause. Great sense of humor as well as a charitable soul.
