I agree with you. I feel we had a lack of leadership on the defensive side of the ball after letting Jenkins, Harper and Vilma go. We also dealt with a TON of injuries on both sides of the ball, with some players playing injured most of the season (Brees, Lewis, Graham, etc). But I also think this season is going to be an eye opener for players. We've been "spoiled" by so many good seasons and playoff appearances, that having a losing season has people calling for all types of changes. But this team will rebound.

We have a high draft pick this season, so we'll be able to get very good talent in each of the rounds. I'm looking forward to next season and the fire these guys will have to build upon their mistakes this season and regain the top tier form we've come to know our Saints for

We have an opportunity, not necessarily an extraordinary opportunity. It still requires the Saints to make the correct decisions and mentor the selections into professional players who will be effective.

Teams like perennial playoff Patriots keep on trucking (without all these "high" draft picks).
Bills, Browns, Raiders are just some teams that are not improving despite "high" draft picks.
