As for me, I'm just hoping that some of the Super Bowl nostalgia fever and the living in the past, finally fades away a bit. This team and organization has ridden on its coattails for too long.
The Falcons rivalry -- people always say how Payton and Brees OWN the Falcons, we dominate them, right? Well they are 3-3 in the last 6 meetings. The Panthers and Cam -- well Payton and Brees always handle them, right? Don't we always beat the pants off them, like 38-17, it's usually a big rowdy Brees blowout, right? Nope. Not really. Panthers are 4-2 against the Saints in the last 6 meetings. I'm still excited for the future, but it's time for people to look at things a little differently. |
