Time for New Orleans Saints' brain trust to clean up this mess
Now that the New Orleans Saints have put their 2014 season to bed, it's time for the team's brain trust to go to work.
It's time for coach Sean Payton and GM Mickey Loomis to clean up this mess. The Saints' 23-20 victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the season finale on Sunday should do little to change the perception of this bitterly disappointing season -- inside or outside of the building. You don't start a season with Super Bowl aspirations and end it at 7-9 without consequences, and my sense is there will be plenty in the weeks and days ahead.
