Oakland has as much cap space as any team in the league. If they want, they can tag him or probably match any offers for him.

If you're Wiz, who would you rather play for? New Orleans or Oakland?

He's an URFA so there's no matching to prevent him from jumping. I think we can lure him away if they don't franchise him. Franchising a center is the same as a LT, its super expensive. I don't see them paying him LT money.

But of course I thought we'd target Alex Mack last year and we didn't do squat.

While the Saints can create cap space, I don't think they will have enough to be competitive if a team like Oakland offers him a nice contract. While all things being equal he may choose to play or the Saints over Oakland, I don't think he's leaving millions on the table to do so.

he is a pretty good starting C and i agree his rookie year he looked pretty good at OG which is the position he should move back too as people think,

my big but with him is i fear he will over value himself a bit.

the other but might just be he wants out of town.

he is worth keeping an eye on and see what happens

I"d love to see Ndomokhun Suh in Black and Gold. A D=line with Suh next to Hicks with Cam and Galette could work. They'd still need some LBs. But if you can pressure the QB quickly with 4 and stop the run, almost any DBs can look good.

I doubt even Loomis can create enough cap space... Haven't the Lions already said that they would use the franchise tag(25 million cap hit) on Suh before they would let him leave...

I think the Lions have said the franchise tag isn't ruled out, but I doubt they can make the space to use it. That being said, I can't imagine the Saints being able to create enough room to sign Suh. Suh wants to become the highest paid d-lineman, surpassing J.J. Watt.

Watt signed a 6/100 deal with 20+ guaranteed.

It's 16.6 aav...so if Suh gets that, even with bumping some money to future years, He's going to count at least 10 million to the cap in 2015. With already needing to clear money, I cannot see anyway the Saints fit a Suh deal under the cap, especially when teams like Oakland with already 30 million under the cap are rumored to be interested.
