Like it or not ...
The Panthers are for real and this division is theirs until we prove otherwise.
Falcons will crumble trying to find another identity. Bucs will struggle with a rookie QB We are insanely mediocre and in too much of a cap hell to do anything about it Meanwhile this panthers team has won 2 out of 4 Division crowns since drafting Cam. The scariest thought is we know Cam is playing nowhere near his peak. Like not even remotely close. They play Seattle closer than anyone .. Don't say I didn't warn ya. |

All in all , I'm saying we better get our minds right ... Our little brothers are eating off our plate

Re: Like it or not ...
I call sham.
They beat a team on its 3rd or 4th string QB. This is a QB driven league. If not for the hot start and get Cards D they would not have made it to the playoffs with Palmer going down. Seattle will mop the floor with them, or Green Bay will. Either way they are one and done and get a LATE pick for their 8-9-1 finish |
Re: Like it or not ...
Well they won the Division and still playing our lockers are empty.
However in my opinion this is the end of the road. If the Saints won the Division we would be in the exact same situation. The only good thing was that it wasn't the Atlanta Sewer Birds. |
Re: Like it or not ...
Bucs will get Mariota

Re: Like it or not ...
Carolina has a good d
Cam is immature and does not have the drive to win When do you see him on the sidelines studying the d positions on the last drive He is an oversized Mike Vick Their defence will be raided in free agency Cam will get a huge contract They are an 8-8 team at best |
Re: Like it or not ...
I wish people would quit crying about our salary cap situation!!! The Saints were in salary-cap hell last year and we signed Jarius Byrd AND Jimmy Graham.
Loomis will work his magic and massage the contracts of Brees and some of the other high dollar vets will either re-negotiate their contracts if they want to stay with the Saints or they will be let go. The Saints are still the team to beat in the NFC South and to some degree in the NFC. Carolina is a team that plays good against weaker teams or teams that aren't playing their best. They are one and done in the playoffs. The failclowns are like the cooter on a 90-year old woman; everyone knows its down there but no one gives a damn! The Bucs are years away from being more than a spoiler! |
Re: Like it or not ...
I give credit where credit is due. Carolina was the better team this year. But, as long as they have Cam at QB they will only go so far. Their D is the only thing keeping them competitive. His passing game is too inconsistant. If it weren't for his legs he would already be someone else's backup. They got healthy and hot at the right time. But consider who their four game winning streak came against to close out the season. They beat us and Atlanta, the 31st and 32nd ranked D's in the NFL. The other two wins came against Cleveland and Tampa by a combined 6 points. Now they beat a team in the playoffs with a 3rd string practice squad QB and a D that peaked weeks ago, has been on the decline and couldn't tackle anyone in a phone booth. They're going to get destroyed next week.

Re: Like it or not ...
Carolina had a horrible year but played very good down the stretch when it counted. Due to all the rest of the division having a crappy year, they won the division. I am not taking anything away from them, but I am not ready to declare them as the team to beat in the division just yet. As for Cam, he is steadily getting beat up on a regular basis, I don't see him as a long term solution unless he learns the finer points of the passing game and stops trying to act like a fullback.

Re: Like it or not ...
Let the Panthers win next week and I will giver them abit more credit than being nothing more than the tallest midget in the NFC South. Having said that they are the best team in the NFC South. They are hungrier than we are. They have better coaching than we have. They come out and play 60mts of football. We don't.
As for their team. They have but a few solid - all pro - talents but surrounded them by a bunch of no name, hungry guys and coached them up. Left for dead a few months back they took advantage of what was in front of them - a weak division. They purged some slackers and brought in more no names but guys that were coachable and hungry. Something the all mighty Saints and Falcons couldn't do. For that they get a ton of cred but they are still a mediocre team until they prove otherwise. Their Schemes. On Defense they got it together on the DLine after misfiring abit early on. The loss of Domestic Violence convict Hardy hurt them early on it seemed. Their LB's are led by all Pro Kuechly - who get every call his way but is still around the ball every play. Their secondary is helped by the pass rush. Something else they do is play thru the whistle and take every opportunity to make a hit - particular on a QB even when it may be border line late. Something else we don't do but that I think is fine. On Offense. They are using the QB's main talent they can count on which is size and legs to run. Passing is not his strength - at least not consistently. So they run him. If he last thru another year I will be surprised but again they are using his strength to win games now. My hope is he signs a blockbuster contract before getting hurt...and then the hits catch up with him. I think he has one more cheap year left before they have to lock him up which they probably take advantage of. They got Tolbert back (best FB in the league by a country mile), Stewart is running well, their TE is very good and the big FSU kid Benjamin is doing pretty well (he was my top hope for our draft btw). ST's. They have a great punter and evidently better gunners than we have as they have success in playing a field position game that we can't seem to do. They have a great FG kicker who is for the most part young and money (missed one yesterday). They want be able to draft high again this year which is nice as they draft way better than us. We draft projects that may never see the active game day roster. They draft football players that play on Sunday their first year. I look for their fairy tale season to end next week...but they ARE the best team in our Division at this point. No denying that. |

Re: Like it or not ...
Dallas wins it all and for the next year all we hear is Tony Romo this and Tony Romo that. How he is the greatest QB alive and Jerry Jones is a genius for taking 20 years and 10 head coaches to build this team!! There will be a silver lining though. Jones ego will be so much BIGGER he does what he wanted to do on draft day. He trades for Johnny Football!!! It'll be fun!!

I knew the panthers would win against a practice squad QB. I am not surprised. Wait till they play a real QB, in the playoffs, before passing any judgment.

I was on the cards board. Lindley and Butler were flat awful.

Re: Like it or not ...
Gotta give credit to Carolina...they rolled out a bunch of rookies on the O-line and they are playing together, same with their WR's.
They've drafted their defense to be physical in their Front 7 to beat us & the Clowns. They succeeded. We are not a physical team. Sorry. They beat the crap out of us in the Superdome. Until we get physical in our Front 7, stop Carolina's running game and quit trying to get cute in our drafting and picking up WRs/CBs in FA, we'll get kicked in the teeth and @$$ again in 2015 by Carolina. |

When Cam smiles, makes those stupid dances etc for a first down, etc You don't see any other qb ( well maybe Kaep with the bicep flex) acting that way. Sitting on the sideline under a towel while other qbs are studying the opposing defense formations. Kind of like kids slouching out with their legs on a nice sofa at a public place Sorry, but thats what many people see |
Re: Like it or not ...
^Sadly it works in the NFL because as much as I hate to say it, the illuminati has taken over. Nothing seems right in the NFL anymore and its been off for a few years.
|
Re: Like it or not ...
I mean do these QBs like Cam because of their feet don't need to study film all they need to do is go on the field and play like they are alpha or something.......that is the vibe I am getting with the NFL. Alpha types.

Re: Like it or not ...
This is all for naught, no way the Panthers get through the Seahawks in Seattle...

Re: Like it or not ...
Bottom line...
Carolina is in and we're not. |
Re: Like it or not ...
Speaking of "Like it or not"...
Scam taunts when he's winning and he pouts when he's losing. He is immature, but he makes plays because he is big, fast, & strong. He will be that way until age or injuries catch up with him. So get used to it. He'll continue to be the poor sportsman he is because he possesses elite superior physical abilities without an ounce of class. Only until we possess a consistent physical Front 7 will we wipe that stoopid smirk off that clown's face and make him crawl back to the sidelines a few times per game twice a year...and ensure that we'll never again abide with his little end zone Super Man "thingy". Soap Box over. |

Re: Like it or not ...
I wouldn't count Atlanta out either. They are one or two players (and a coach) away from being a contender every year. Carolina started slow, very slow, but they didn't just forest gump their way to the playoffs, they actually found an identity and started playing good football.
