Many women take advantage of this, as saintfan has pointed out in previous posts. Unfortunately, it is part of many a divorcing woman's playbook to erroneously make domestic dispute calls in an effort to have their spouses arrested. Mine tried it a few times until I convinced the arresting officers that seeing as how there were no signs of an altercation and she was the one making the calls that maybe she should be the one taken into custody. Worked out well, never had another incident after that, ![]() Doesn't seem like that's the case with JG's situation though, ![]() |

First off there is not a requirement by police departments to make an arrest on a domestic with "little or no evidence". That's illegal. And if you guys have dumb enough cops in your portion of country that do that (not saying you don't), then they won't be cops for very long. God, maybe I should just avoid these conversations. This is getting ridiculous. Like the guy who tells everyone he got pulled over for going 1 mph over the speed limit and got "screwed" by getting a DUI. Look, I know there are some messed up cops out there. But they are rare. And just because you dealt with a piece of **** doesn't mean most of them are. The piece of **** you dealt with is the minority, not the majority. Most officers do what we do to help and to take care of people. Most officers would take a bullet for you. Don't believe it? Go for a ride-a-long one day. |

Jnorm, I love ya, but in some areas it is in fact their policy. May be unspoken, but it is. Don't ever kid yourself, homie. The laws, the family courts, etc are all stacked against men. At least right now. There is a slow of the pendulum, and she'll make her way back toward the center eventually, but currently this is a woman's world, lmao!

Re: Junior Galette Arrested
Well, that's how it was explained to me by the Honolulu PD, the Detroit PD & the Wayne County Sheriff's Depts, respectively. It may not be the same all over, which I mentioned, but be assured, it is a policy in some locations/depts. in my experience. #shrug.

On the subject of JR, I could go either way. Unfortunately it seems like he has the maturity of a 12 year old. My only hope is we can get something done with his contract, because this could result in a 6 game suspension. |

Oh, would you please just STFU. Yeah, all the cops are evil monsters, and all the "unarmed kids" getting shot are just momma's little angels. What the **** ever. I've never had a cop take more than a second glance at me, you know why, because I've never given them a reason to.
