I agree, SaintFan. These charges are serious, and can be abused.
There should be consequences when one cries wolf, if it is beyond a
shadow of doubt there was abuse.

I wonder if a player announces he has a terminal disease, and one month
to live would we immediately begin discussing cap money?

I don't see how the business discussions of it mean that people don't care about the personal players involved.

If a player dies, should we cancel the season out of respect? Or should we pay respects and then move on.

If a key player died tomorrow you can bet the front office would and should be focused on what to do because of it. It doesn't mean they don't care about what happened.
