Today is the day

that Graham may see something he won't like. Gronk has the game that everyone's expected he will have if he made it this far, and Graham just might see that he has to fix some things.

Re: Today is the day

not sure his heart is in it...which is disappointing because he had been one of my favorite players...

and it's not just the decline in his numbers, it's the decline in his intensity and lack of improvement in other aspects of his game...

he's probably out flying his plane anyways...escaping from what he can't escape - his duty to his talent to develop into the best tight end in the game...

Re: Today is the day

Although he had a shoulder injury for most of the season he has acted brain dead after signing a BIG contract. Go figure.

When we give players big contracts we need to impress upon them that we expect more from them. Anything else is unacceptable.

Jimmy is kneeling in Gronk's shadow, lacing his cleats.

Re: Today is the day

Maybe he was hurt worse that we think. But Gronk he is not. But then again the Pat's offense is less predictable than ours. We need a hurry up Offense.

Re: Today is the day

Its not impossible to be as big as Gronk, Graham just needs to get on a bulking program.

Gronk plays with heart, Jimmy don't.

Re: Today is the day

Jimmy get's a slight pass due to his shoulder this year. Doesn't excuse most of his drops and disappearing act, 1/2 way thru next year, i'll have a better hate/like opinion. Gronk plays hard, is reliable and never disappears for extended periods of time lie Jimmy.

And this time last year all you read about was "We can't lose Jimmy" "The sky is falling the sky is falling" I know he's home in agony, wringing his hands!! Noooooo, Noooooo LOL

Graham didn't step up at times last year either. We can't say a healthy Graham makes every catch Brees throws his way.

I can promise I wasn't saying we can't lose Jimmy last year. I would have let him walk or made him play for tag money.

I like Jimmy no he isn't Gronk... But Playing with a bum shoulder all year and yall question his heart for the game....

Re: Today is the day

85 catches(most on the team), 889 yards receiving(3rd on the team), 10 TD's(most on the team)...

Not bad when the whole offense struggled most of the year...

Not to mention his shoulder injury he battled through the last half of the season...

Re: Today is the day

could there be a correlation between the drop of the play at WR also?

an association with the the pressure Drew has has felt in the pocket to a drop in the quality of OL play?

Correlation plus association might just just result in a simple answer

play of the OL results in less time for Drew which also means less time for WR to complete routes and the over use of Jimmy?

Drops are one thing but you have to look at the pieces as a whole.

Fix the oL and the rest should straighten itself out.

Nah, it's easier to pile on and question his character. Who needs common sense or reason.

A new TE coach might help him.

Re: Today is the day

Don't forget how many games Gronk has missed. I think the shoulder plus our whole offense wasn't right was the reason. I still would rather have Jimmy than Gronk.

Re: Today is the day

Given the illegal shots teams gave him to that hurt shoulder I think he had a great year....but I guess it's easier to complain from the couch

Re: Today is the day

Graham had a disappointing year. We can only hope that his injury was the cause . Jimmy is not the blocker that Gronk is ,and he seems to not be a tough as Gronk. We have to hope that he will return to form next year. The saints have a lot invested in Graham. Let's see that investment pay off better in the future than this past year. It is a big deal if it doesn't.

Yep. Graham is a BUST. He's hit-shy. Flinches like a B****.
