Drew Brees donates $200G to help fix Sandy-damaged homes
Drew Brees might have a short memory when it comes to putting aside an interception or sack during a game but, when it comes to doing good deeds, the New Orleans Saints quarterback has an elephant's recollection.
Because of Brees' selective memory, about 20 Long Island families have been able to rebuild their Sandy-damaged homes because of a donation from the NFL star, according to Newsday. Brees and his wife, Brittany, made a $200,000 donation through their Dream Foundation to assist Long Beach residents in storm recovery, the United Way of Long Island announced Thursday.
