I would like to see a good blitzing ILB...

Hawthorne is just plain bad and Lofton while serviceable doesn't make game changing plays.

It would be nice to draft a game changing ILB that is a threat to rush the passer just as much and Gallete is.

If we go D line in the first, I think Danny Shelton would be a nice addition. But if Sheriff is there when we pick, I want him above anybody else.

P.J Williams in the first and Perryman/McKinney in the second; that will pretty much fix the defense.

And then Kouandjio/Matias/Dismukes in the third... O-Line help...

Why am I so unenthusiastic about Fowler? I don't want him and I have no reason for it whatsoever. Has there been criticism about him that I can't remember?

Mel Kiper's first mock draft came out today and has us taking Vic Beasley. Kat Terrell had a good point though:

i have to agree i just do not see the love for him. unless they believe he will give 110% when he gets a pay check. that should concern you too

We need a NT worse than an edge rusher.

If we can bring pressure like Drew got this year we'd be fine. Our defense would improve tremendously.

My major worry is Beasley is that i really do not like these new 230lb edge rushers.Most are a liability in run support. I see another Dion Jordan

Beasley is so much more proven a commodity than Dion Jordan. I wouldn't worry one bit.

Please get a grip. Stop the run already! Who cares about adding another pass rusher when we cannot stop any run including expected ones right up the middle?

I just seem to remember Dion Jordan being so hyped up by analysts because of his freakish athleticism and size moreso than anything he did on the field. It was all about potential with him whereas Vic Beasley has shown over the last two years that he's one of the better pass rushers in the country. I just get the feeling Beasley is less of a boom or bust pick than Jordan, but that's all just my hazy memory and I'm probably way off.

I don't really care who they draft as long as its beef on the line either OL or DL. Got to get some players that can draw a double team on the lines to free up other players.

Trae Waynes, Vic Beaslet, Shaq Thompson, Donte Fowler, I'd be happy with any of these guys. While I lean more toward getting a LB which we've NEVER been able to find a really good one and is a desperate need for this team, getting a Trae Waynes would significantly improve this team for many years as well. I think any of these guys could really help our team so I would be happy with any of them. My main concerns are the coaches coaching them.

The only thing I have against Waynes is I read scouting reports that emphasize his tendency to grab a lot and could get him penalized a lot in the NFL. Coaches can fix that,but will he still be the same player? I don't see any CB that's worth taking in the first round this year imo. We all want that number 2 corner,but I want to land one good enough to make Lewis the number 2! :)
