NO Super Bowl for me ...

I simply cannot watch this Super Bowl between two of the biggest cheating teams in the league. I can't stand either one so, why bother ? Just want another Saints championship !!!

Personally I think it has the chance to be a VERY good game and so I'm looking forward to it, and I hope Brady wiped the floor with the PEDHawks for whatever that's worth.

I was done with the 2014 NFL season the moment that the Falcons won their sixth game.

Well the Pats are the lesser of two evils in my book. What I plan on doing on SuperBowl Sunday is watching the tape of SB 44 and relive the Golden Days of the Saints not so long ago. You see most of us Who Dats are delusional so why not. The nice thing when watching that tape we always we win.

Meh, I'll watch ... too many damn good parties going on not to participate ... this one has all the makings of a true "SuperBowl" ... Russell Wilson is now 10-0 vs SuperBowl-winning QBs after beating Rodgers ... did I get that stat right? ... I was picking the Pats, but after watching the NFCCG, IDK ... I just don't know,.

I really don't care about the nfl anymore. I think Roger has changed the game and all his BS. I'm just about done with it all.

Nothing on you Slo, but those ****ing stats about Russell Wilson aggravate the **** out of me...

Read Wilson threw four (4) interceptions. Four. Now, when has he thrown for significant yardage and touchdowns to win games?!?

Wilson typically makes one Hail Mary/Eephus throw per game to a receiver who makes an extraordinary play while covered by a reserve defensive back with that said play usually bailing Wilson out; and, on cue, talking heads immediately elevate him as an elite passer...Absolutely laughable...

Watch, it'll happen during the Superbowl, the Al/Collins-worthless head will say something like "how many times have we seen Russell Wilson make these throws and bail out the Seahawks" and it'll be followed with something like "we're witnessing the emergence of Russell Wilson" kind of thing...

Not that I want to hear JP called it - but you can bet it'll happen...

At least Brady has some stats to back up his game, but if you could draft guys in their prime, Manning is the No. 1 pick 95% of the time...

I'm pulling for New England.

Green Bay absolutely puked on their shoes in the 4th quarter. No way Seattle should have won that game but to their credit they pulled all the stops and GB wilted.

What a gutless melt down by GB. That loss will haunt them for years to come.

I'm rooting for the Seahawks. Wanted Russell Wilson coming out of the draft. Love the secondary. Marshawn Lynch is my favorite RB of all time. Would love to see him leave and come here and we could let Ingram walk.

Still can't believe the pack lost that game...

The hawks played about as bad as possible for 50 mins and still come out with a Win. Some times luck plays a big part in winning, just like in our 09 season. You can be great but you'll need a few bounces every now and then.

Yeah, I'm rooting for the Seahawks. If they were AFC team, saints fans would probably hate them less. There are some tough moth***** out there. I respect that.

Re: NO Super Bowl for me ...

There's no way in ****, I could pull for the Seahawks...

Their stadium fans have challenged Philly for the Biggest Jerks Title...

Their Head Coach left that school holding the bag in sanctions with no accountability on himself...

Their Quarterback has received more praise for stats he has little control of than any quarterback in NFL history...

Their defensive backs have little humility and fail to share their success with their no name, relentless pass rush/front seven...

I am on the fence with the SB.

I think I am going to go with the Pats. I don't think many people had them going except for a run to the play offs like normal but they manage to get in and I think that says a lot about their organization which I think we can learn from.

But distractions play a huge part in SB's and Payton knew what he was doing when it came time for the SB. I can't help but think this distraction brewing with 'did the pats cheat'. Could cost them the SB>

Belichick will spin it to the team "As The World Turns On Us"

Raiders of old were great at doing it; and then, it really was the world against the Raiders...

Re: NO Super Bowl for me ...

I hope Seattle wins sorry. I don't want this whole thing about Gronkowski hurt being why pats didn't win SB last two seasons to actually be true. And I don't like Brady and him losing to Eli 2 times was more than just Brady being unlucky. The pats have a negative stigma against them.

Seattle doesn't, yet. But cockiness burns out and when it does Seattle won't be playing as well.

Re: NO Super Bowl for me ...

This one is a yawner. I'm tired of both of these teams but as long as they keep winning they will appear in more super bowls. Why can't we be like either of them? Why is Carroll a better coach than Sean? Why does Russell Wilson, who isn't considered an elite QB, continue to get his team to the super bowl? What the hell is going on & how do we become one of these teams? After winning one super bowl it doesn't seem unattainable any more. Now that I've made myself depressed, I still want to know why and will we win another?

SaintFanQ 01-19-2015 04:39 PM

Re: NO Super Bowl for me ...

Not the teams I wanted to see in the SB but they got there and we didn't so credit to them both for getting to the big game!

I think the Pats will get the win especially after watching that dreadful first half for the Seahawks against the Packers and that was with supposedly, home field advantage for the Seahawks!

I think I'm right in saying that the Seahawks only had one first down by the half time whistle, if they do that in the SB then I don't see the Pats letting them off the hook like the Packers did. The Seahawks will find themselves a few scores behind before they know what's hit them.

The game, I think, doesn't kick off until around 11.30pm UK time so I won't be watching much of that game!!

Roll on next season and some more Saints football!!!!!

GEAUX SAINTS!

I hate Seattle because they're cheating PED popping thugs.
I hate New England because they get a bunch of BS calls and they cheat.

Thugs and favoritism...

This Superbowl pretty much sums up everything that's wrong with the NFL.

I hope both team buses crash on the way to the stadium.

It bewilders me every day as well. Basically since the 49ers divisional playoff game in 2011/12 playoffs we just dont have that comeback mentality and have lost a lot of games we should have won. That was our best chance for our number 2 and we blew it. We blew home field last year to the Kittens, and then got embarrassed by Seattle yet again in the playoffs. This year we give up the divison while everyone else had their arms and legs tied together the whole year. We blew it. I think if we can youthanize the offensive line, bolster up that front 7 and we can look amazing next year. But everything has to play out pretty well. We need to hit on these draft choices, or have a breakout free agent like in '09 (he who shall not be named.)

We always seem to have 2 years of success 1 year of wild-card type success and then 1-2 years of mediocrity in the sean payton era. Lets just hope we can go on a run for drews last couple of really good years.

Yeah, he has had some pretty impressive teams around him, that's for sure. I never really thought of him as an 'elite' passer (or 'elite' anything, really), but just the most consistent/durable/talented of the current read-option guys (Kaep, Cam, RGIII). He wins and he looks good doing it. I really like his composure on/off the field. The 4 interceptions did kind of expose his passing game a bit? ... it can be done, picking him off that is. He's a guy to me that'll wind up on Fox NFL Sunday or something like that.

Anyway, went to the doctor's yesterday and the nursing staff has assured me that the Patriots are gonna' win this one convincingly ... I mean like 38-17 convincingly, so I probably won't need to watch the game,. IDK if they were just schmoozing/patronizing me the way medical staffs do by chatting away on a topic of interest in order to make you feel comfortable or if they just have a crush on Tom Brady, which I think a few of them do,.

With the matchup between the New England offense/Seattle defense, Wilson might just be an afterthought in this game,.

This is like Edwin Edwin vs David Duke in terms of likeability for me. I detest both equally. I still hope for the best however in that it will go down as the worst SB in history..commercials, TV ratings, play. I hope.
