Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
Would be nice if we already have our #2 corner on the roster...

Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
I'm still excited about Jason David.

Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
Maybe we should have promoted Pace to General Manager?!?
from article, I think sometimes our expectations of draft picks, even high draft picks, are a little unrealistic,” Loomis said. “So look, part of the time when a draft pick comes in, he’s just looking for the right room to go to, much less to understand what it takes to play at a high level in the NFL. WTF does he think his and the coaching staffs role is?!? We've already been that team that drafts and develops players...for other teams! I'd really like to know the decision-making process/command structure that has gone into some of these bone-headed draft day decisions... Short of maybe quarterback, you can't draft players in the early rounds to just sit a year and be successful... Did he really cite Meachem and Henderson as fruits of waiting a whole year on the investment of an high draft pick?!? That would confirm what I already suspected... |
Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
he’s just looking for the right room to go to
sorry i am lmao still over this one to/ how big is the saints campus? whats next? he put on freshman pounds at the soft ice machine? This was the perfect year to see the field and get some game time in and he sat. the more this goes on the more i see this is a front office pick that Rob has done everything to keep off the field. |
Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
I don't think he's allowed to say
"Well that was a waste of a pick, the guy literally has no clue and players still have to tie his shoe laces for him" |
Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
I'm thinking still they are making a SS out of Baptiste. He is our Seahawks Chanceler.

Speaking of SJB. This was his NFL draft profile "weaknesses"..

Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
F*** me...we're 'outsiders' and we could see it was a bad pick...
It's sort of like when Mora would geaux into the prevent defense and take the best players (Saints Linebackers) off the field... Everyone in the house knew what was gonna happen, like watching a car accident... And then the conceited MFer had the nerve to tell us "you think you know, but you really don't know..." Well, Jim, we did know, then and now, football is not rocket science and we can see a moronic move as it plays out... And Stanley Jean may turn into a great player and I hope he does... But let the other kids develop talent; make sure our first, second and third round picks are able to play immediately... |
Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
Excited about Potential? Get excited about results? We wait for years on these projects full of potential. Get me some hustle, smart, hungry football players that can play now. To hell with this potential that sits on the inactive list.

I sure hope SJB gets it together in 2015 because this is shaping up to be a wasted 2nd rd pick. |

They're no different than the talking heads... Trying to put a player in a category like some taxonomist... L@@K at the player... How does he affect the game with the role he's assigned?!? L@@K at his character, personal history, disposition... Don't want a Richard Sherman nor a Deion Sanders... Want a player who's got enough physical ability to compete, but the strength of character and depth of intelligence to be a winning teammate and complete warrior... And if I take him in the first three rounds, he better not be a ****ing developmental project with potential but a FOOTBALL PLAYER ready to contribute... |

Thi is why the schools matter. How did that d2 cb do in NFL(Pierr?)? |
Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
Thinking more about it go for big school players or d2 ones. D2 ones are actually hungry because they didn't get to play for a top school.

Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
like kenny it was a pick i understood why they made it. but yet another player that did not really fit the position they were drafted for.
my favorite catch phrase for the saints. too cute. just to dam cute for their own good. |

Re: Loomis 'still excited' about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's potential
Know I'm in the minority on this one, but am not a big fan of Loomis nor his personnel decisions (or at least those that have happen during his tenure)...
But someone really needs to step up regarding SJB and why this draft pick's image qualified to be on the back of milk cartons this past season... |
