Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back
Cadet shouldn't be with the Saints in 2015; he's not needed as a RB and Saunders can take over the KR/PR duties.
I don't know if Khiry is under contract or is a RFA/UFA. Like most things in life it will come down to $$. Glendale, Ariz. -- New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram will hit free agency this season with a chance to test the waters. Ingram said the Saints have told him they want him back. "They said they want me back, for sure," he said. "I was their draft pick, so they said they definitely want me to come back." But does he want to be back? Ingram's four-year career with the Saints has been a roller-coaster ride, beset by injuries and streaks of success. He admitted this season, capped off with his first Pro Bowl berth, has been the best of his career. However, there were reports that Ingram requested a trade in 2013 at a time that he was struggling with injury and his on-field performance. Ingram and Saints coach Sean Payton both vehemently denied the report. Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back | NOLA.com |

Re: Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back
I would like him back, he was a late bloomer that I still believe can get even better. He looked strong last season, run well, and his vision looked good, which makes keeping him a no-brainer. Ingram can tote the load if need be.

Re: Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back
It's going to come down to money, I don't see the team willing to offer Mark what he wants; especially with his pro-bowl he backed into...

And we want you back as well Mark.

Re: Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back
He is not really a good fit for this team. I think that he would benefit greatly with a change of scenery.

Re: Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back
I don't think he's staying and thats another tall order in the draft.

Ingram is a great fit for a team that can execute a ZBS.
That was supposed to be our team's strength in 2014. Age and injury caught up to us. Eager to see what Bret Ingalls can come up with in 2015. |
Re: Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back
How can a guy that got 963 yards on 220 carries, averaging 4.3 yards per carry and 7 TD's not be a good fit for this team?
Bearing in mind that he missed 3 games with a broken wrist as well, he would have easily got 1100+ yards if his wrist didn't get injured |
Re: Mark Ingram: Yes, the New Orleans Saints want me back
Bringing Ingram back is a no-brainer IMO.
Neither is fixing the o line and d line. |

Did you not watch last season? So the light bulb came on in year 3,also happens that they changed up their run blocking scheme. Coincidence? I think not..... I would love to have him back...... |

Wasn't all the o line. They certainly struggled at times. Agree the right scheme helps. He ran it at Alabama, Payton wanted to switch to it and that's why he traded up. I don't see why he would let him go now... |
