Is Mark Ingram Headed to the Dallas Cowboys?

Is Mark Ingram headed to the Dallas Cowboys? That could be a very real and distinct possibility, according to Bryan Broaddus of the official Dallas Cowboys website, DallasCowboys.com.

In a Tweeted response sent out to a reader and follower of his named Brian Kiser (@briankaiser80), Broaddus responds that Ingram is a real option for the Cowboys in the pending 2015 Free-Agency period, which officially begins March 10th.

@BryanBroaddus is Ingram a real option?

Of course it's possible. We'll see if Demarco Murray wants the big bucks and they think Ingram could be a suitable replacement for a little less. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

He is going to draw plenty of attention for sure. I could see it, I could also see him in Seattle, unfortunately,,,with the uncertainty of Lynch.

The big question is who would shell out the supposed big bucks for Murray. Runningbacks don't garner the same interest anymore as they used to.

Ingram is probably on a short list for 10 to 12 teams looking for a good RB this offseason.

if there is a big buck deal to be made then correct a mistake we made years ago in not going after Lynch when the Bills dumped him.

it is widely known he will not be back

Yep. Him and AP are probably only RBs in the game who are true difference makers. They don't need great supporting cast. They just make things happen. Both guys have 2-3 years left at high level (AP is a freak of nature).

Not our style and I don't think Payton can adapt to that style. Maybe wrong.

I usually agree with you but I don't see Coach P and Company going after Lynch. He's good but he's a pain in the ass and he has character issues. Not Sean's type of player.

I'd rather not see the likes of Lynch grabbing his junk after scoring a TD in a Saints jersey. No class.

I'd take him in a NY heart beat (assuming Roll Tide is gone). He still has that fire & can fall for 1, 2 extra yards. Love him or hate him but he still produces at a very high level.

If Ingram goes, which I hope he doesn't,we still have Khiry. I wish we were in a position to draft Melvin Gordon if he does leave.

He'll go to a zone blocking team imo. One cut, then daylight is what he excels at.

Man, was Ivory fun to watch at times.

I still remember that 60 yard TD run vs falcons in 2012 where he threw like 3 falcons defenders to the ground.

The one thing that hurt Ivory was constant injuries, he was an absolute beast when healthy but his hamstrings or thighs couldn't last more than 2 games.

It was a shame because he had everything, tough between the tackles runner with breakaway speed.

Whilst I like Ingram and was really impressed with him this past season I think that's what he lacks, that speed to turn a 10 yard gain into something more.

Loved that run
The stiff arm was a thing of beauty. Agree of Ingram lacking that little burst to take him away from players

Payton tried to trade for Lynch when he was with Buffalo. Lynch is a better Deuce McAllister.

Do we still have the option of using the franchise tag on him? He has great trade value.

Agreed, I love Deuce, but Lynch >> Deuce.

How much more does Lynch have in the tank after these 6+ years of brutal running?!?

Don't want to geaux back to the days of signing Earl Campbell and Richard Todd has-beens...

IDK, he looks pretty solid to me ... him and AP seem like they're gonna' be around for a while.

They would be better off signing Murray.

Winning the offensive player of the year doesn't help the Cows and their chances of resigning him.

The franchise tag would cost approx. 9 million on a one year deal. At that price, I doubt he would have any trade value.
