New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
I hope the Saints at least give him a call if he does become a FA.
In an interview with NFL Network during Super Bowl festivities in Arizona Thursday afternoon, Tillman expressed his interest in returning to the Bears, but also said he would not be opposed to signing with another team. According to the veteran, all organizations are of equal interest at the moment. New Orleans Saints Should Pursue Charles Tillman |

He's kinda old isnt he? Maybe like a 1-2 year deal.

The guy is a turnover machine.

Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
I'd rather take Thurmond,Parish Cox or the Seahawks CB who's name I can't remember right now but considering the cap issues and Till man could probably be had for half the price he could be a good calculated risk. All depends if his body can hold up for the year which is suspect. He would be a great tutor for the young secondary we have and his experience and leadership would be much needed.
All the same things can be said for Ike Taylor and a few other vet CB that are out of contract. It's a good year to be looking, the best value might come a few weeks into FA. Would be happy with a aging vet with the youngsters fighting for playing time. |

Little long-in-the-tooth and undoubtedly lost a step, but he was the only guy a few years ago who could shut-down Megatron. He'll bring something to the table at the right price, :).

Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
hey i love peanuts game but get me a player from a defense that has an established long running attitude of excellence. one that can stick around at least 3 to 5 years and play
IE Keenan Lewis leads by example and knows what it takes from his days with the steelers. I say the biggest issue is mind set right now and Lewis needs help in the locker room kicking butts and keeping heads screwed on straight. |
Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
Yay another 70 year old CB that Payton thinks will just step in and take the job!
|
Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
Do we not have leaders on defense right now?
If Keenan Lewis is the only leader we have, then why are we paying these other suckers?!? |
Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
We need good players and good coaching. This "lack of leadership" story is getting out of hand.
Lack of leadership = perfect excuse for poor coaching and Draft/FA misses. |
Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
coaching or not it is more than obvious most of the defense did not give 75% - 100% of the time.
that locker room gave up. do not get me started on Rob again. they could care less if he keeps his job. it showed on the field |

Yep.

Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
If we're bringing in an old CB then give me Antonio Cromartie.

Why should that be thrown on Lewis? He is still young himself. We need someone who has seen the ups and downs more than enough to lead the team. |
Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
Tillman has only played in 10 games over the past two seasons. The last thing we need is another CB that cannot stay on the field.

Re: New Orleans Saints Should Consider CB Charles Tillman For Leadership Role
We need a #2.......just a strong #2 CB is enough.
