The Tennessee Titans cut ties with offensive tackle Michael Oher after just one disappointing season on Thursday.

The team announced the move on Thursday:


The Titans waived (injured) offensive tackle who played in 11 games for Tennessee last season before being placed on injured reserve in December with a toe injury.

Good depth pickup at a vet minimum probably. Lord knows we need depth on the OL.

He was great with the Ravens but has suffered from injuries.
I would look at him though.

I'd go with the 'depth/vet minimum' theory ... interesting story, probably could be considered a 'character' type guy for the locker room ... little past his prime though, :neutral:.

The physical potential is there and he is still young for an O-line player. I'd bring him in and maybe slide him to the inside or have him as a backup.
The main question thou is if the want is still there.

How do you guys think he'd do at guard? I don't know enough to project how he'd do with that transition.

... for some reason I was thinking he's older ... maybe it's because I'm thinking that movie was 10yrs ago & Sandra Bullock being 50 ... IDK.

6'4", 315lbs ... I thought he was bigger and was gonna' say he's too big to play inside, but why not? Like Crusader said, "if the desire's still there".
