Percy Harvin

Brandon Marshall trade means Jets will jettison Percy Harvin | ProFootballTalk

Percy Harvin is about to hit the market. The WR version of Reggie Bush. Dangerous when healthy, but not often healthy.

We have Cook and Saunders

Re: Percy Harvin

Plus Harvin would be like a "Junior Galette" except on offense, detrimental player and I wouldn't think SP would want him.

All mouth and hasn't produced in 2 years.

YES!

as in, YES, let's pick up the guy who gets cut from the team foolish enough to sign Harvin

Re: Percy Harvin

I would keep what we have at WR. Meachem, Colston, Crooks, Stills, Toon, Tanner, Jones, saunders, sneed, coleman. We have 6 good starters out of this group without signing anyone. Meachem, Colston, Crooks, Toon, Stills and Tanner.

yeah, because we need more people on IR.

Re: Percy Harvin

I'll pretend like I didn't read this topic. There's a reason someone who was good enough to be a first round pick has been on 3 teams in 6 years.

Re: Percy Harvin

A few years ago, this guy was considered a possible NFL MVP and he's never played with a great passing QB. An offense with Cooks, Harvin and Graham is pretty scary. That lineup would be one of the most if not the most athletic in the league. Like every other free agent we've discussed, if he's cheap, he could help.

Re: Percy Harvin

Hasn't played 16 games since 2011 (only season he has never missed a game). Also three teams have shown they dont want to deal with him.

Oh yeah 2 TDs in three years

Re: Percy Harvin

Not just no but oh hell no .... last thing this team needs is another locker room cancer

Re: Percy Harvin

All the Jets did was trade one headache for another. Only difference is, this headache cost less than the other headache.

RaginCajun83 03-06-2015 11:42 PM

Re: Percy Harvin

well the headache the Jets go this time is on medication to deal with his, Percy was just a headache

lee909 03-07-2015 12:05 AM

Re: Percy Harvin

And the Jets new headache has missed 8 games in 9 years compared to 27 in the past 3. Also 6000 more yards and 30+ more TDs

A headache is still a headache.

Re: Percy Harvin

BUT,
if Seattle still had him, HE could have been the intended receiver on the dream-ending interception

Re: Percy Harvin

Headaches? Ehhh... Don't we have enough overpriced lack of talent?

"Dorn, he's just overpriced"

FinSaint 03-07-2015 03:39 PM

Re: Percy Harvin

He was a true x factor with Minny and the Vikes would've liked to have kept him, but Harvin was reluctant to sign a long-term deal. So when Seattle made their offer, it was a deal they couldn't refuse.

Most of his missed games with Minny were due to his problems with chronic migraines, which have since been "cured."

I honestly wouldn't mind having him if the prize was right, because he can be a true game-changer.

Plain dumb period……Cancer, period…..HE IS A LOCKER ROOM TUMOR…if we are speaking foolish, I'd rather have Wayne or anyone else.

Re: Percy Harvin

I don't get a good feeling about this at all. Pass. Personally, I feel good about what Coleman has to offer along with a couple of our other projects. The WR crowd might have some serious competition coming into training camp.

Re: Percy Harvin

Bottom line, we have too many areas of real concern to blow $$$ on this. we could easily go into the regular season with the same group
He is going to get paid (overpaid) by someone. No way it's us.
