Thoughts of coming season
 

I gotta say, losing Jimmy was news that I couldn't fathom at first. Days go by and I'm getting over it. Really pumped about the center, really excited about the extra pick.

I'm thinking, best pash rusher at 13, and MLB at 31. That's how id personally have it go down. Guard in round 2 corner round 3.

And something that I think has been overlooked this off season is that we really are getting another awesome FA that people may have forgotten... Byrd. Plenty of time to see/learn/watch the system work. Plenty of time to actually get healthy and prepare to contribute. I for one am perhaps getting overly optimistic, but with a fa corner to actually DO SOMETHING, plus the "new" safety in Byrd I think our defense could have quite the turnaround.

Agree with your assessment on draft picks, maybe not in that order but yes we need youth at each of those positions

Jury's out on Byrd. He has A LOT to prove in 2015

Excited.

Excited about our soon to be commitment to the run game.
Excited that we are vocal and determined to improve on defense.
Excited to have two first round draft picks.
Excited to see what kind of impact Ireland will have on our draft.
Excited to see some change.

I think this Ireland pick up is going to be a very good one for us. Nose for defensive players and that's just what we need

I agree about the positive turnaround, but then again, it can't go too far in the other direction anyway.

Thats actually what we really need if we sign FA corners. LB corps.
2nd corner, LB corps, Offensive line, Interior D-line, then other skill positions is how i would rank our priorities.

Well with the news of Browner, here's to hoping he can come in and possibly give us that Darren Sharper boost. Change the defenses attitude, get them hitting harder, ball hawking, and competing with each other to make the defense scary good. We saw flashes in 2013. Here's to the future!

I am waiting to see what the draft brings first. rookies of course but last time we purged and rebuilt the draft was a tool to add and dump vets.

47 days of sitting on pins and needles i guess

then the run to camp might add some seasoning for taste also

Actually with Browner, it gives Byrd the chance to be the ball hawk like Sharper was with Vaccaro giving support for Browner if the WR's beat his jam. Browner is the fastest but he will get in your face.

Fix the O-line and a lot of problems will just go away. We still need ILB, G, and NT in a bad way. ILB and Guard have almost no depth and the middle of the D-line got no push last year.
