I think these offensive moves are all about what Drew wants and what will give him the best opportunity to play at a high level for a few extra years.

Has anyone heard anything out of Brees on the Grubbs, Stills and Spiller moves?

We were quick to hear on the Graham trade, but I haven't heard anything on the rest...

Only thing I've read is that Brees wasn't happy with their performance last year.

I never liked Stills. If toughness is what you're looking for, Stills is not your guy. Gets killed by big corners who bump press well and avoids contact like he's a 14 year veteran QB. I wish we could get a WR like Ellerby from the Pats. I am very interested in Lafayette's RB in this year's draft. I hinkhe transitions as a slot guy.

I say, yes, Brees wanted Jimmy gone. There was something between them last year.

It looked as if Jimmy intentionally didn't make plays on the ball a couple times and just looked at Brees like, take that. Something was going on between them, my brother and I thought, all year and now, bam a trade.

Like what Loomis said about trading an offensive asset (now, instead of getting nothing for him someday) to "fix" the defense. Of course, that implied the extra 1st rounder was to be spent on defense (I hope).

Don't have all the details yet, but Ellerbe's bases over the next three years are now $1.1M, $4.1M, and $4.1M. Were $8.425M, $6.45M, $6M.

A lot of us said the same, plays that you'd see other players laying out to make a catch, Jimmy would give a half hearted attempt to catch the pass and it would end up getting picked.

The pick 6 vs Cleveland is a perfect example, not only did Jimmy look lazy trying to make the catch, he just stood there whilst the Brown's ran it back for a TD.

This guy was a top 20 free agent 3 years ago, and the 3rd ranked MLB.

If he's fully recovered we may have upgraded our LB unit.
