Steve Pate, of The Daily Oakland Press, reports the Detroit Lions interviewed New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Mike McCarthy Wednesday, Jan. 19. According to national reports, McCarthy is the leading candidate to become the team's new offensive coordinator.

Makes sense ... he\'ll fit right in. McCarthy takes the reins of another allegedly talented but underachieving offense, leading them to the promised land of mediocrity. The only difference he\'ll notice is the uniform color.

Therein lies the problem ... he never noticed the QB he dragged with him from Green Bay was lousy either. I can only hope he\'ll take AB along with him again. If those rumors about Harrington hold any truth, maybe he will...

PLEASE let him go and while he\'s going take Leon with him. That will sink the Lions into the pit of mediocrity. But, remember, Leon will be \"great\" up in Detroit, he\'ll just have crappy support like he did here. Repeat after me!
