Saints are carrying the most dead money in the NFL
One of the results of remaking your roster on the fly is that teams accumulate a good amount of dead money. And in New Orleans’ case, it equates to a $21.7 million hit.
The number is the biggest in the NFL. It became inflated in recent weeks with Jimmy Graham ($9 million in dead money), Ben Grubbs ($6 million), Curtis Lofton ($5 million), and Pierre Thomas ($830,000) leaving town. The hit will clear next season and become available cap space. Saints are carrying the most dead money in the NFL - Black and Gold |
