And take that number, cut it in half, then double it. Then subtract how many empty seats are in the stadium.

The game is being ruined. Addressing player safety is one thing, I'm for it, but changing rules because those changes made it boring is nonsense. It won't change taking out what people liked.

Hate bringing govt into things, but it's time to threaten the anti-trust status of the NFL...

Not a big fan of the current 'regime', but I like the idea of federal legislation restricting clubs from extorting local, state governments with 'incentive packages and perks'...

Usually a couple of senators mentioning the anti-trust and changing the game will stop the non-sense; at the least it will get said senators seats at the team soon to be formerly known as the Redskins...

It didn't even make it out of the Rules Committee. However, I do find the idea of actually getting hold of a decent kicker after all these years to be a pretty good one.

Yeah, so you make a two point conversion which is already a bonus point over kicking the PAT, but now we need a bonus on top of the bonus. It might only be a proposal but the fact that the Colts were dumb enough to make that proposal and the NFL didn't immediately shoot it down is disturbing.

Here's another idea; kick the extra point then move the ball back ten yards to try another one and if you make that, move back another ten to kick and keep going until you miss one. This will be known as 'the big bag o' points'. If it is missed the kicker has to eat a 12oz steak within the 45 second play clock time then down a milk shake through a very narrow straw...this is 'the tuck and suck' rule. If he fails then the opposing special teams can run a play from where the kick was missed from and if they succeed they can take the points OR set the scoreboard back to zero. What do you think?

"bag o' points", :lol: ... anyway, I can see it now, 2 kicking plays (or more) in a row ... there'll be a run on concessions & the restrooms ... stadiums will be running out of beer and the plumbing will burst ... all hell will break loose, JMO ... doesn't anyone ever think about the logistics of these things? :lol: ... fricken' NFL, you're losing me!.
