Camp body. If he gets into 53 man squad then our O-line depth is pure garbage.

He's done ok filling in at right tackle... But not so good at left tackle when Armstead got hurt. Never put him at left tackle again.

I've never liked his performances on the field and I didn't understand why they kept him and cut Marcel Jones who IMO was much more athletic when healthy.

31 and you say he should not see the field?
Harrirs did a below average job last year at RT
Zach comes back and Terron goes down

If the saints go into the season with a three strikes your out rule for Harris I know Drew will be shaking his head. two years in a row and i hate to say it Harris made no progress as a back up much less shown he has what it takes to be a starter

Zach at 31 we better get serious about getting a back up that has a serious shot at taking over at RT. preferably one that does not look so lost LT if Terron gets injured.

We traded Jimmy for a center. Traded Grubbs and have a hole to fill.

better not play it cute at back up OT that can not swing from the right to the left without a huge drop off in play.

if we do i call this whole off season a waste and really and i mean really will question the brain trust running this team. I will support trading drew for his own safety.

What am I saying? gesshhh year in and year out that is always what the saints do. play it cute along the OL with long shot and fingers crossed.

I'm not impressed but then again he hasn't had that much time for our superior coaches to max his potential. Wait......maybe it's the coaching. Who have we developed on the O-line recently? Armstead doesn't count.
He has the potential to be so much better and seems to learn when he plays. Throughout the game he improves and then he's back to square one next week. jmho

You know, that's a valid point. For a team that supposedly finds small school/late round O-Line talent we've sure whiffed a lot lately: Tavon Rooks, Marcel Jones, Andrew Tiller, Matt Tennant, etc.

According to reports, the New Orleans Saints have re-signed offensive tackle Bryce Harris to a one-year contract.

The former undrafted free agent from Fresno State played in 16 games with two starts for the Black and Gold in 2014.

Initially signing with the Atlanta Falcons in 2012, he has played the last three seasons with the Saints, appearing in 34 games with four starts.
New Orleans will preserve some depth on the offensive line after agreeing to terms with Bryce Harris.

Pro Football Focus gave him an overall grade of -17.5, which was good for dead last among linemen on the team.

In just 393 snaps as a backup, Harris allowed seven quarterback (most) hits and 19 hurries (more than Jonathan Goodwin and Terron Armstead).

He’s the only Saints restricted free agent that was re-signed this year. You would think a Tyrunn Walker would have been the more appropriate option to bring back.

Someone has to play offensive line in the 3rd and 4th quarters of preseason games, he's a back up and lets just hope he doesn't see the field when the regular season starts

Marcel Jones & Andrew Tiller were drafted in 2012, when Payton was in exile.
