Tom Benson brings wife to meetings to get her ready to take over
 

Saints owner Tom Benson created quite a stir when he took control of his teams away from his kids and gave them to his wife.

And now, he’s using the NFL owners meetings as a chance to Gayle Benson to get caught up to speed if she needs to run the family business.

The Saints owner said Gayle sat in with him and coach Sean Payton and General Manager Mickey Loomis this week.

“This makes me feel great just to get out. The weather is so perfect here and we’ve had some good meetings this morning too,” he said, via Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Advocate. “I was glad they let Gayle sit in on it. It was only supposed to be three per club, that was the coach, Mickey Loomis and I. But they let her sit in on the meeting too.

the older i get the less i trust people with this kind of money and take everything at face value. I always expect the worse. they have professional back stabbers hired and locked away to do nothing but planning and plotting years in advance.

This guy has been a total d*uche most of his tenure as owner of the Saints...

In the Triplett interview, even Triplett left the door open at the end questioning the characterization of certain 'reported' events...

I find it very difficult to connect the prospect of a "trophy wife" and a 67 year-old woman as being one in the same.

So she's in her 60s, that's not a "trophy wife", if Mista Benson wanted one he would of gone the J. Howard Marshall/Anna Nicole Smith route

You don't measure trophyness like that.
Benson is 25 years older than Gayle.
Maybe this shot will give you a better perspective. If you didn't know who Tom Benson was, you'd wondering why the father is pulling a Jim Marshall while presenting the bride, his daughter.
