Only time will tell if we won on the Jimmy G trade. Im still butthurt as hell but it will be nice to get more cap room in the future. I think I might even feel better if we didn't make a team in the NFC unbeatable. I might hate them worse than SanFran.

They are hardly unbeatable

Jimmy Graham could struggle in Seattle. Russel Wilson is not Drew Brees. We'll see how it plays out and undoubtedly Graham will make catches and score TDs, especially in the red zone, but does his poor blocking hurt their run game and does his seeming lack of effort sometimes rub teammates the wrong way? And you are so right. I HATE SEATTLE!

I was thinking about that as well. Drew is one of the best there is at throwing someone open. Wilson is a fine young QB but he won't be able to throw Jimmy open as well as Brees did.

And while Jimmy's blocking isn't anywhere near as bad as people think, he's not great at it either.

I hope your right. Every day that passes Im more on board with the move. If we knock it out in the draft it will be even better.

Lost pro bowl Tight End
Added pro bowl Center

Lost 4th round draft pick
Added 1st round draft pick

Biggest weakness on offense last year - Center

I'm just a couch potato GM but every way I look at that deal we came out ahead.

To add intrigue to the play call, Brees should shout Tchopitoulas! Tchopitoulas! like Manning does with "Omaha" Better yet "Karen Da Lay" (Carondolete)

Agreed. Plus we deleted a guy who's effort was, in my opinion, sometimes in question. That can be contagious. I'm hoping we see a team next year that fights on every play, every down and for every yard.

I'm fine with the trade for the reasons mentioned, but also because it puts us firmly under the radar. The team always plays better when the league and media doesn't believe in us.
