What Type Of Impact Could Leonard Williams Have On The Saints?

Let's say Loomis and Payton pull the trigger and move up in the draft to get Williams. Do you think he could come in and contribute right away for the Saints defense?

Williams should be a good NFL player. However, I still hope we stay put and take BPA.

If he's available at 13 great if not the Saints have many holes to fill.

When you watch tape on Leonard Williams, all he does is consistently beat the man in front of him.

In my opinion the impact would be immediate for the Saints.

Short answer: a better one than the one he's going to make playing besides garbage in Tennessee or where ever he goes

I'm a USC fan and watched him a lot. My first thought is we burned a 1st round pick on Ellis and I'd hate to see that mistake again.
Williams, however, is much more NFL-ready. He is not a situational or even a rotation player: for USC he was on the field until he dropped.
Their scholarship situation (thanks to Reggie and Carroll) was awful, and there was really no one behind him on the depth chart, so he just stayed out there. He has strength and endurance, and just plays smart

The USC connection scares me. Sedrick Ellis sucked and the last time we moved up was for Sullivan. Ugh, makes me want to vomit just bringing those 2 up.

Tired of getting burned moving up. Ingram was the only one that kinda worked out and he dropped something like 5 spots from where he was suppose to be. He wasn't worth it big picture. Moving up, odds are it will not work out. I could see us doing it though, we like making this gamble in the first.

He would be the only person id move up for in the draft. That kid is gonna be a multi probowler and that's a fact, Jack.

I thought the same thing about Glen Dorsey at #5. Granted, he had an injury out the gate but he has never looked like what was projected. Believe he is now just a backup in SF.
