Getting a good player anywhere in the draft is a win in my book... time will show if he ends up being one.

Therein lies the problem... He may be a good player but is he good enough to beat out our current starting tackles this season? Nope. He doesn't project to play guard either. So we used that high of a pick on a guy who is an eventual replacement for our aging right tackle?!

so you're criticizing based on assumptions?

Yep. Sure am. Not athletic enough to play left tackle in pros and we have one of the best right tackles in the league. Unless we plan on cutting Strief (which would be a massive mistake because he's one of our team leaders) then we drafted a backup tackle who is projected to take over at RT.

He would provide some very needed mobility to that RT spot and change the whole way that spot is played now with Strief.
