I am ok with this pick.
I think the key thing he brings to the table is that he is a LEADER!!! |

You never know what is going to become of draft picks, that's just the way it is, but from what I have seen of him I am optimistic he could be a really good one |

Wow, someone actually said we have all the defense we need? Seriously?

There are several posters I respect that probably would have been fine if we went defense with nearly every one of our picks. Personally I think an OG and a WR or TE are still in the plans before this draft is over. |

Size, Speed, Instinct, Motor, Character, Leader... Yes, any player can bust, but it sure looks like he has a low bust factor. |
Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
TEDDY
I agree with you with the Offense being predictable and stale but I think its more play book there has not been anything new in years and to depentant on jimmy Graham but I disagree with you that the defense isn't the biggest problem this team has |
Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
I heard Detillier say he reminded him of Vaughn Johnson :itsgood:

Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
sure the kid was a reach. but some where they thought he would not make it to 44. so a reach of some 13 spots at the most is not that bad.
next question if the did this reach is there a player in round 2 they are willing to reach a bit to get because they believe he will not be there in the third? and that is a reason that help make this pick. day two should be good. CB and WR round 3 and on IMO unless one falls into your laps in 2 which i doubt. i may be confused by round 1 but i feel better about the picks than SJB in round 2 last year or Kenny in round one a couple of years back. |

It's a copycat league, Dallas made an O line and went to the divisional game carried by the best rushing game in the league With the O line we are building Drew should get at least 2 more seconds and the run blocking should be noticeably better. |
Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
The WR we need to take is Sammie Coates... dudes a monster (Auburn Fan)
Big bodied beast... |
Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
Weak route tree and bad hands. Bleh.

Not to mention what Seattle's running game has done to that team - nevermind how good their defense is. |

The more I read on the guy the more I like him.
I would be excited if we were able to get McKinney as well in the second. One of the third round picks could give us a starter.....the statistics are favorable that at least one of the two third round picks could be a contributor. We might get lucky with one of the other picks but I'm not counting on it. Not after reading about just how poorly we draft lately in the later rounds. |
Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
who's the QB getting him the ball??
|
Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
Anthony is an ideal MILB.
Kendricks, Perryman, and Dawson are better suited for the WILB. Would not shock me at all if we picked one of them tonight. Imagine Perryman teamed up with Anthony for the next 10 years. |
Re: Saints select Stephone Anthony @31
that's what I want, I hope they make it happen
