Re: So it begins
We're in the Brees contract for two (2) more years...
That'll be right and then the new kid can be ready... And then Mickey can get bulldog into another contract where we're unable to sign anyone to put around him... LOL |
Re: So it begins
Mark my words...
Drew Brees will retire. |

Re: So it begins
Bree's couldn't care less. He's happy to have the competition and knows he can't play forever. Drafting a third round QB should tell him the organization wants him around for a while. The Pats have drafted 2 first round QBs while Brady had been there.

Re: So it begins
Funny, I thought Peyton Manning was the greatest QB that ever stepped on the field!
No one else can shout Omaha! like he can plus perform a magic act at the line of scrimmage before each play. "Red Omaha! Pick a card memorize it put it back in the deck Hut Hut!" |

Re: So it begins
if Drew had Brady's pocket he would be all world
Oh wait |
Re: So it begins
I've said it before and I'll stick to my guns.
The Saints need to be developing the 'heir apparent' NOW! Montana had Young in the right seat for a good while before he took the wheel. Favre had Rodgers. If we don't want several iterations of the revolving door, the team needs to work the issue and not let it all ride on 'two more years' from Drew. I still have nightmares of the QB circus and refuse to believe we could go back to the carousel of: Brooks, Tolliver, Hobert, Delhomme, Wuerffel, Collins, Shuler... No identity forever on Offense. If Brees goes down (and odds are he very well can) what are we left with? |

Same with Rodgers. The only reason he didn't start year 2 was because Favre kept not-retiring. I can't think of a single great QB today that sat for 3 or 4 years behind anyone. |
