Best-case expectations: is our #2 CB to start the season.
Realistic expectations: takes over the #2 CB duties by years end.

CB Damian Swann
Best-case expectations: takes over the SS position and leads to a trade of KV
Realistic expectations: none really. solid nickle and dime guy that beats out SJB. SJB is traded.

By seasons end
Best-case expectations: Dennis Allen proves he knows how to draft defense and gets the DC job and a few of Robs picks stick.
Realistic expectations: Rob Ryan is gone and so are almost all of his draft picks

Ha! Me either (thank God)...

Except the linebacker thing - I was 100% correct on that one!

I'm all for Rob staying AND keeping his DC title.

I'm all for Dennis staying as the "assistant" to "everyone" on defense.

Besides, we have ~ 21 coaches which seems to be the NFL average. Seattle and Philly have 25!!

Why can't we have more guys doing more?

Look, 21, 25 what really matters is having the right guys in place, everyone is on the same page, all ships sailing in the same direction...

And I'm definitely for Dennis Allen working with the secondary and linebackers...

But most importantly, I want a real, consistent pass rush!!!
