well looks like he doesn't have to sweat competition now since he's gone. Look it was time to get someone that can be accurate and be able to make field goals from a long distance. His lack of leg power was putting a strain on the offense because they had to go for it on 4th down when normally the field goal kicker would of been attempting a kick. Good luck to the next one

Rookie kickers in recent years have broken out. Walsh, Tucker, Forbath, Zuerlin to name a few. Young appears to be better when it comes to making 50 yard kicks. Hocker is a SEC kicker also.

Maybe we can hit on one of these guys and have a kicker for the next 5 years or more.

I think I've had enough of watching these vets (people say you have to have a vet kicker) who can't hit from 45+ and periodically shank 30 yarders.

Old guys don't sweat like young ones. Probably had to take off his sweater vest though.

And what is with the cut the punter comment. We have arguably the best punter in the league which benefits both sides of the ball.
