The New Orleans Saints have now agreed to contracts with all nine of their draft picks after reaching a deal with top pick Andrus Peat. The offensive tackle was selected 13th overall out of Stanford.

Like all first-round picks, the deal is for four years, with a team option for a fifth year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. But rookie contacts are essentially slotted in. So Peat’s deal will likely be worth between $11 and $11.5 million with a signing bonus around $6.5 million, based on the reported deals of those signed around him.

Twenty of the NFL’s 32 first-round picks have now signed or agreed to deals, according to a NFL.com chart -- including Saints linebacker Stephone Anthony, who was the 31st pick.

Best change they ever made to the CBA was creating a rookie pool and essentially assigning value to the contracts...

Let the NFL veterans that have proven make the money and let the young turks prove their worth...
