Sean Payton: Saints will not have joint practices with Texans
Saints head coach Sean Payton confirmed Thursday that New Orleans will host joint practices with New England this August at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia. However, he also said the Saints will not be doing the same with the Texans, as had been previously reported.
It was revealed Wednesday that the Texans were going to be the featured team on HBO's "Hard Knocks" during training camp, and New Orleans would have likely made a cameo on the show during joint practices leading up to the Aug. 30 preseason game against Houston. Payton said Thursday, though, that the Saints spoke with the Texans but elected to only practice with the Patriots. last thing the saints need is HBO in their faces.
But i can hear it now. The to dirtiest teams in the NFL practice against each other. |
Re: Sean Payton: Saints will not have joint practices with Texans
I actually read somewhere that someone compared the Saints and Patriots practicing against each other to two crime families going gun shopping together! I found the comment hilarious! Maybe both teams will meet in the Super Bowl silencing the negative comments about each organization. A little motivation never hurts.

So how much do you think Payton/Belichick collaborate during something like this? Think they bounce stuff off each other? |
Re: Sean Payton: Saints will not have joint practices with Texans
We were modeled after the Patriots and I guess Payton is getting back to school while he learns more from Belichic.
