Re: Terron Armstead has more than puncher's chance at breakout season
The Saints drafted another left tackle in Round 1 this year in Stanford’s Andrus Peat. But for now, Peat is projected to work primarily at right tackle behind Strief.
But for now? is the error i see in the statement. Strief is signed thru 2018. 2017 appears to be the first year cap wise where cap saving vs. dead money looks appealing 2016 $4,600,000 $3,300,000 2017 $5,100,000 $2,200,000 2018 $5,100,000 $1,100,000 So there is no rush. Coach Peat up and get him spot duty and let him develop. Pray injuries do not rush him into the line up and it is his play that gets him into a solid part of the rotation. Nothing wrong with swing duty your rookie year in the NFL Still say you gotta forget the traditional stereo types for LT vs RT in today's pass happy NFL. Sub packages now see the field more than standard defensive sets. that means pass rushers across the defensive fronts. you need LOT that can ROT. |

What does that mean a 'puncher's chance at a breakout season'?!?
Were we the only people watching him step in for Brown as a rookie and quietly assert himself by the post season?!? Last year he was among the best in the league; definitely thought he was as good as any tackle in the NFC last season... |

I suck at boxing. But I do know that training your hands to move without thinking is only going to improve your fight in the trenches. Not only that, the footwork ought to be able to translate as well. Throw in some martial arts training and we're good to go.:lightsabre:
