Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
Sometimes it's more than just coaching, chemistry and talent when it comes to pro football. Behind the scenes things take place and we the fans don't see that we just see the finished product.(outside of BNG members):bng:
Who do you think will be/has been the most instrumental in the changes the team is going through this year? I'm not including the usual suspects that we see in the day to day operations? |
Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
Bill Johnson- Defensive line
Needs all of the help it can get. :censored: |
Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
Jeff Ireland.
After Payton and Loomis comments that he was a 'calming' influence and 'stayed their hand' in trades... That's influential, my friends... |
Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
Just get it done....

Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
Right now it's a tie between Ireland and Allen at four apiece. Apparently, Ireland has been essential in making the right calls for personnel........while Allen is reigning in a group of skitzoid defensive players. It's almost like we got a handler for both Payton and Ryan.

I also thought about choosing Ingalls

Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
It's closed on another thread, but if you add front office personnel and coaches this past offseason...
Jeff Ireland and Dennis Allen will be as big as any free agent acquisitions for any team in the league... |
Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
How do you answer this poll? Unless you working in the organization and you're in the mid season to be able to evaluate the players or coaches that the individual inspired or drafted. This poll is too premature

Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
Jeff Ireland in my opinion
Soon as he arrives we make a blockbuster trade that no one saw coming for the good of the team. Also this draft felt a lot different to years past Picks were spent on players with proven success, not the typical "prospect" players we normally bring in because they might be able to contribute in 3 years time. Out of our draft picks, atleast 5 could easily start or be a rotational player and that's how you build for the future. |

I think you nailed it. This offseason has had a different vibe from any other under Sean Payton since 2006 when he took over the franchise. However, Allen is fixing the secondary and that will have the most visible impact because we should feel his impact immediately. |

Sean Payton. Hands down.
From players to coaches to assistant coaches. Guarantee he's had a hand in all of it. |
Re: Most Influencial Personnel In The Recent Shakeup.
The ownership of course. It will either keep the Saints here forever or look for greener pastures. We're lucky 2 teams are already committing to Los Angeles.
