Drew Brees ‘very convinced’ he’ll win another Super Bowl
 

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees remains optimistic he will win another Super Bowl before he retires.

Brees was asked by ESPN’s Ed Werder if he’s convinced that before he retires he will win another Super Bowl.

“I’m very convinced. It’s what drives me and keeps me going. I love this game for so many reasons. The opportunity to have played it for going on 15 years is rare, it’s unique. I want to continue to play for absolutely as long as I can, as long as I’m having fun, playing at a high level and maybe I’ll stay healthy, why not play this game? It’s a blessing. The challenges and the opportunities that come along with it each and every year, I don’t know how you mimic this in any other element of life.”

But how will the Saints return to the Super Bowl?

“I feel like we can build it. Yeah. Listen there’s a lot fo work to be done. I’m not going to sit here in June and say that where we need to be. We still have a lot of work to do. I do feel like we have all the pieces in place. We have the ability to build the best team that we’ve had. It’s not easy. It takes a lot of work, a ton of work. As long as we can maintain that mindset that we will continue to get better each and every day then we’ve got a shot.”

I hope so. I feel like we haven't been a serious contender in a long time. Going into the '13 playoffs I didn't have much hope after that end to the season/ playing Seattle.

if not for the turnovers we head back to play the giants in the dome, i think it would have been a blowout. We should have played in it that year!

We were a handful of plays away from making it for three seasons following the 2010 season.

I'm very confident this team has the ability to build momentum at the right time.

I'm one of those who believes Drew will play out the last two years of his contract here and then move on while we transition to Grayson... So hopefully it happens in these next two seasons because no-one wants to see him go elsewhere and win a Super Bowl.

See dat Drew is already preparing himself for political office. And if that don't work he can always sell used cars. Dat said I believe him.
