32 personalities who lit up the NFL like a July 4th firework

While the player chosen to represent the Saints isn't terrible, (not going to spoil it here), considering how far back they went for some, namely the Bills, I am sure there were players from the Saints early days that would have been a better choice!

Agreed but we had some good moments with Joe Horn.

read the article, but I'm still not sure what the criteria is: explosive or loud?
Rex Ryan over Joe Namath, no McMahon or Bosworth, none of the old Oakland Raiders?
summer sports journalism I guess

I tend to agree, light up the NFL with your play or your extra-curricular b.s.? Seems like a mixture ... Johnny Manziel and Jamies Winston make the cut? There should be some sort of prerequisite for actually being in the league and/or on the field a certain amount of time before you're applauded for being an off-the-field dumb ass ... JMO, #shrug.

Well, he was the NFL's leading rusher, made a life-long commitment to "finding the real killers" and it's the Bills ... I give him Buffalo's spot on the list, ;) ... now, there ain't a better choice out of Philly than Donovan McNabb?.

My two best memories of Joe Horn was first, entertaining his family in the party room at the Western Sizzlin in Thibodaux, Louisiana when the Saints were at Nicholls State for training camp; beyond words...

But he was truly generous to fans in his time despite their intrusion on his 'family time'...

The other memory was when he got his big contract and he pulled up gameday in this convertible, what looked like a 'modified' Bentley, dressed to the tee such that Huggy Bear would've been proud, knapped textured derby and long pointed shoes - Classic Joe Horn!
