Keenan Lewis, Kenny Vaccaro tout Saints’ revamped secondary
1 Attachment(s)
All of the new faces in the New Orleans secondary already feel familiar to Keenan Lewis and Kenny Vaccaro.
And the Saints haven’t even left for training camp, although that flight to West Virginia looms in the next couple of days. New Orleans had plenty of time to build chemistry during the team’s summer workouts, allowing the secondary to easily absorb and integrate the waves of new cornerbacks brought in to shore up a spot that last season left a lot to be desired, other than Lewis. Now, as the Saints prepare to report for training camp Wednesday at The Greenbrier, both Lewis and Vaccaro are optimistic about the secondary’s chances. http://theadvocate.com/csp/mediapool...?1438003275544 “We all meshed together well,” Vaccaro said... read more here |

Imagine the possibilities if we can get Byrd, Vaccaro, and Lewis playing well together. :bng:
Even better; if we can get a decent season from Browner and Williams or Breaux |

No pressure up front will make all of them look silly again this year.

Good to hear this kind of positive talk coming from Vacarro, especially since he was in SP's doghouse for a while last year. Sounds more like a leader this year.

I like Breaux chances and Browner is a definite upgrade depth of talent is definitely improved. We need Bryd and Vaccaro to play up to their potential.

Byrd has to stay/get healthy and Vaccaro needs to play with the reckless abandon he did as a rookie. Otherwise Sunseri and Warren need to see the field.

Re: Keenan Lewis, Kenny Vaccaro tout Saints’ revamped secondary
yeah baby this maybe the year we keep more CB than S. More than one CB can do double duty at the safety position. Breaux and Swann come to mind right of the bat.
then there is SJB? man without a position who has yet to see the field. saints were rumored to have played with idea of him at the safety position last year. Get ready for some surprise cuts and IR moves in the secondary |
Re: Keenan Lewis, Kenny Vaccaro tout Saints’ revamped secondary
Um Byrd is on frigan PUP again. WTF?
I am not confident in the pressure Cam can get, so that is a concern for me. The line was horrific last season, and to me the biggest difference between 13 and 14 was the pressure we were able to get |
