I'm the one who thinks Training Camp should stay in Jackson, MS. On the other hand, and for my own need to be positive, a number of great teams have played in comfy weather. I think the Damn 49ers of the 80s practiced in Northern California. The Damn Cowboys of the 70s & 80s practiced in Thousand Oaks, CA, which probably was a country club too. And remember, the Dome Patrol era Saints practiced in Wisconsin Lacrosse. But I still want Training Camp in MS. And a preseason game in Shreveport. |

Don't get me wrong I prefer they practice closer to their LOYAL fan base. I want more wins and cohesive play MORE (like I said before another season like last yr mean change of venue instead of juicy fruit) |

Elevation makes cells more efficient conserving oxygen but it has to be way up there, something like over 7K feet. I don't think they are that high, but it's probably for the best they train in a cooler environment, generally away from the media and other distractions. The medical staff also would not want anything to do with training in La either. I remember when they trained at Southeastern La Univ and stayed at crappy dorms. Times have changed.

Re: Live updates from the Saints training camp at The Greenbrier in West Virginia
Practising in heat is both good and bad for the body.
The good is the fact that it helps keep muscles loose reducing the risk of injury. The bad is the fact its really easy to get dehydrated which drastically increases the risk for injury. Heat strokes are nothing to play with either. |

I'm getting the feeling from things Payton's said that we're gonna run a lot more of a 4-3 Under. We're practicing lining up Hicks at DE with a Sam LB (Kikaha) lined up next to him.
