In terms of 40 yard dash times;

Galette - 4.8 seconds
Jordan - 4.69 seconds

Obviously everything is not dependent on 40 yard dashes, but Junior looked slow trying to tackle in the open field, whereas he looked quick going after QB's.

I personally don't think Cam is too slow to play Galettes position, he's faster than Galette and a better tackler too.

When we drafted Cam and put him in a 43 i was surprised by his speed, power and quickness. To this day i still say he was told to penetrate up field, breakdown and play containment. Way too many times did i see him do this on the field. getting sacks was not in his job description.

Kick him into a 34 and fatten him up. Now kick him outside and slim him up.

I will be interesting to see if there is a coverage shift to Cam side of the field to help him on coverage duties.

If Cam is gonna play outside in a 4 man front, well thats not exactly a 3-4. :p

Cam will play RDE in our 4-3 packages. He is not a 3-4 stand up WOLB.

I think we're all getting way too boxed in with the stereotypical alignment names.

From what I've heard, Cam played "outside" with this alignment...

Good coaching is defined by coaches recognizing the strengths of their players and utilizing a scheme that maximizes those strengths. I trust our staff to move players around and find the best formations .Hopefully some of the new players can come in and rush the passer as well or better than Cam.We need to get better crushing the passer if we want to improve our defense.
