The Saints also picked up a first-round draft pick, one they used on linebacker Stephone Anthony. The rookie out of Clemson may never have teamed with Graham, but they will be forever linked by the trade.

By the looks of things, he is doing everything necessary to stand out on his own.

I wish we were getting the old Raven's Ellerbe. His biggest battle will be staying healthy.

The "old" Ellerbe was just 3 years ago.

I read he was jacked to join the Saints, specifically to play OLB - his natural position - after playing ILB in Miami for two years.

3 years ago at this level is an eternity. Hopefully whatever bugs/kinks he had are behind him & is ready to go.

Uh, the guy's been in the NFL for six years. He's not ancient. IF his hip is healed, we may have gotten a steal!

He played ILB with the Ravens and is excited to get back to it in a 3-4 format. We are going to run the 4-3 under as a base defense but as I have explained this is nearly identical to the 3-4.

In Miami Ellerbe played out of position. He'll be a much better fit if we use him more like a ILB.

Health is the key.

Ellerbe can give Anthony time to develop while he learns the speed of the NFL. I am hoping Ellerbe is coming back strong. But so far he's been on the side line.

I wonder if we could pull off a 5-2 with a Anthony/Ellerbe combo...assuming Ellerbe is healthy and Anthony pans out as planned.

I still think Denzel Perriman a would have been the better choice just my humble opinion but hopefully he get the job done

No where to go but up defensively. Hopefully It was just a case of bad luck and the big head. We always seem to do better when we are over looked and play the us against the world role.
