Drew Brees will, of course, be the starter, and most assume that rookie Garrett Grayson is guaranteed a roster spot. That leaves the backup battle between incumbent Luke McCown and Griffin, 25, who signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane in 2013.

Griffin is the wild card here. McCown is steady without much upside. I'm hoping Griffin can win the back up job this year.

Griffin was on the PS most of the year- only a few games did we have 3 QB's on the roster.
if the 53 is stable and we stay relatively injury free, maybe we carry a third. My guess is Grayson gets stashed on IR, or 'cut' the Thursday of week 1 so no one can sign him without making a roster move.
